this is interesting as this can honestly be the only reason why my account could be banned. I play on PC but am useless at M+KB and do use a controller. I did tweak my controller settings after watching 'those' videos. if this can flag your account for enhanced gaming, why do they even allow us to do it in the first place? almost seems like entrapment to me..
There was a developer inteview during the beta where they talked about software and hardware (zen, xim, titan, etc) cheating. They said that they would be banning for any suspicious hardware inputs. They said that they will be working with microsoft and sony to try to detect hardware based on description, but wouldn't necessarily need that because they will be monitoring input data and banning for suspicious, repetitive, inputs that aren't human based on timing or speed.
You need to think like this: does this give me an advantage? Then it is cheating. No warning needed. I don't think that is entrapment.
Honestly mate i have no idea what those software/hardware things are. I’m clueless with how people cheat and whats involved. To me, adjusting the in game controller settings doesn't correlate with the definition of cheating as you mentioned with repetitive, suspicious inputs. Tweaking FOV, aim assist, stick dead zones, controller mapping such as simply only swapping ping with grenade throw buttons really shouldnt flag. Entrapment probably was the incorrect term used, however without EA justifying exactly what the issue was, it sure feels like it and a total waste of money and time. And super disheartening because bf is my fav game
If that is all you did, then I agree that you shouldn't get banned. "Tweaking a controller" is a broad definition. The things that will get you banned is using software to reassign inputs/outputs and especially macros that apply different button combinations to a single button input or a "rapid fire" button.
If you only use the configuration options in the game, I agree that you should not get banned.
