EA Account got hacked

A couple of weeks ago, I played Battlefield 1 through Steam and everything worked fine. When the BF6 beta came out, I linked my Steam ID to my EA account and pre-ordered the Phantom Edition.

Now that the game is officially released, I was excited to finally play — but it turns out my EA account got hacked. The hacker changed the email, username, and password, so I can’t access it anymore. I ended up creating a new EA account just to have one.

I’ve already contacted EA Help and submitted a “compromised account” case. They told me to wait because someone from EA would contact me through live chat. It’s now been three days, and I’ve waited almost 24 hours straight with no help or update at all.

All I need is for them to unlink my Steam ID from the hacked account. I can provide my Steam username, Steam ID, and proof of purchase if needed.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is EA Support really this bad?

Unfortunately not. Everything’s on EA’s end, so we have to contact their support. I don’t know why they’re taking so long—maybe their team’s just small, or it’s the peak weekend since BF6 just came out.
