Eight months in purgatory for a sin against the wrong game

BF_SledgeHammer

Hello BF_SledgeHammer ,

I'm not writing to dispute that your system detected something, and I won't waste your time claiming a pure false positive. I'm writing to ask, respectfully, whether my account might qualify for a one-time act of leniency.

My account information is as follows:

BF6 in-game name: Ebenholz (current EA ID: SuperGoblinChef; earlier EA ID: PBr5)

Platform: Steam (PC)

Enforcement: permanent ban on Battlefield 6 and Battlefield 2042, applied 2025-11-02 — I have now served roughly eight months.

Data request reference: Request-2773418

I accept the detection and I've already acted on it. My data request indicates an unauthorized cheat-engine / scripting-class application was detected during a session. I understand what that almost certainly was: I had used Cheat Engine on Monster Hunter Rise, an offline, single-player, non-EA game, and although I closed it, I now know its driver/traces can persist and be flagged — including across a different game. That was careless of me. I've since removed all such software and cleaned my system, exactly as your team recommends, and I will keep any machine I use for Battlefield free of it.

Why I'm asking for leniency rather than just serving a permanent ban: the tool was never used in or against Battlefield, and my actual play shows no benefit from it whatsoever.

BF6 headshot rate: 10.6%, which is a normal level. Aimbots make this number abnormally high; mine is even a little low.

My K/D against real human players is 0.99 (999 player kills / 1,006 deaths) — slightly negative against actual opponents. My overall 1.20 only comes from AI kills(Actually are AIs being added to PvP games autometically).

Consistent across the franchise: BF1 K/D 1.05 over ~490 hours, BFV K/D 0.85 over ~449 hours. Hundreds of hours of plainly below-average play.

In BF2042 I played almost exclusively Solo/Co-Op against AI — there was rarely another human in my matches to gain any advantage over.

No other player was ever harmed by what I did, and I've now served a long ban and corrected the underlying mistake. I understand this is a rare exception and entirely at your discretion. If my case meets the criteria, I would be grateful for a one-time reduction; if it doesn't, I understand and I appreciate you taking the time to look.

Thank you for your work keeping Battlefield fair.

Respectfully,

Ebenholz
