The MG and rocket pods on the LB are the large reason why it's broken. The MG needs to do way less damage against all vehicles, and the rocket pods need to do less damage vs infantry and less damage against ground armor, maybe even 0 against an MBT.
There's no reason to take any of the other options. Just that will rip through everything you come across.
It also really doesn't help that engi lock on AA just plain sucks. Even the IGLA, which is broken and ignores flares half the time, is only OK at best. Using the stinger you are more likely to get kills on ground armor by way of a random helpful sniper over anything in the air. It's more likely to just make you a target and get you killed. Engi AA needs a buff, flares need a longer CD, or something. It needs to change.
