feedback
Dear Battlefield 6 Development and Operations Team,
I am a player from Japan, and I purchased Battlefield 6 because I was excited to play a modern military shooter that would stay true to the identity of Battlefield.
However, I have become extremely disappointed with several aspects of the game, particularly the way maps are being utilized, vehicle balance, the amount of leaks surrounding upcoming content, and the direction of character customization.
First, I would like to address the current map and vehicle balance.
On many of the current maps, I feel that certain vehicles, especially transport helicopters, simply do not have enough opportunities to fulfill their intended role effectively.
Transport helicopters should be more than just a means of getting infantry from one location to another. I believe they could have a much more meaningful role in supporting ground forces.
For example, I would like to see transport helicopters given the ability to deploy Gadget Supply Boxes. This could give them a valuable support role and encourage better cooperation between infantry and vehicle players.
If transport helicopters could function as mobile support platforms for frontline troops rather than simply being transportation, I believe this would create more opportunities for combined-arms gameplay and better represent what makes Battlefield special.
I am also very concerned about the amount of leaks surrounding Battlefield 6.
I understand that completely preventing leaks is difficult. However, when future content becomes widely known before it is officially announced, it takes away some of the excitement and surprises that should come with new content.
More importantly, the leaked information can create a sense that the game’s current direction is moving away from what players were originally led to expect.
In particular, I am very concerned about the leaked information regarding a possible Dead Space collaboration.
I purchased Battlefield 6 because I wanted to play a Battlefield game focused on modern warfare.
Before release, I understood that the game would focus primarily on realistic and grounded military-style cosmetics. If collaborations such as Dead Space, along with cosmetics that significantly depart from the game’s military setting, are introduced, I feel that this moves the game considerably away from the direction I originally wanted and expected.
I do not necessarily oppose collaborations themselves.
However, I bought this game because I wanted a modern military Battlefield experience.
Because of that, I strongly want to see more options for male soldiers.
For example, I would like the Support class to have a clearly available male soldier character option, with a simple and realistic modern military appearance: a cap, headset, plate carrier, and dark-colored clothing.
What I am asking for is not simply a skin that can be worn by a male character. I specifically want male soldiers themselves to be available as character choices.
I want more male soldier characters that look like actual modern military personnel and fit naturally into a contemporary battlefield environment.
I would much rather see grounded, realistic military designs than overly flashy or unrealistic cosmetics.
I am saying all of this because I genuinely care about Battlefield 6 and want to see it succeed.
I sincerely hope the development and operations teams will reconsider the direction of the maps, vehicle roles, soldier and cosmetic designs, and future content, while keeping in mind what players who purchased this game were hoping to experience.
Most importantly, I hope Battlefield 6 will continue to preserve the appeal of modern warfare that made me want to purchase the game in the first place.
I hope that the voices of players, including those of us playing from Japan, will be taken into consideration in future updates.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.
