I have noticed that since after BF4, there was no support for flight sticks. They have kept the controller or keyboard for flying only. Since the talks of BF going back to their roots of the older games, I would like to see support of Flight sticks brought back as well. Is there a possibility to bring that back as well?? Nothing like getting into a heated air combat and being able to pull some amazing maneuvers...
During the recent multiplayer reveal stream, one of the hosts mentioned looking forward to using his flight stick he bought for another game, but the conversation quickly moved on due to an pretty epic in-game moment.

i really wish they would give us joystick support, i'm a 39 year old man who's grown up playing the older combat flight simulatores, some arcade ones, and absolutely love joystick control!!!
I'm with ya. 2042 was a huge let down when I couldn't hook up my joystick. I now have a sick Virpil setup sitting behind me and it will be a no buy if i cant hook it up. Huge BF fan boy here.
Wanted to add my desire for this to return and allow us to map our HOTAS to the game.

I won't buy another battlefield anything until they bring back flight stick support. It's not that hard.
While there has been lack of special settings, flightsticks worked all the way to BFV
We had a player that used it as an accessibility option (one handed player) and used an Attack 3 if I recall correctly, it was detected as a controller
BF2042 cut that support, so it would be nice to have that back
It's a niche, you could probably count the players on your hands that have used the mentioned option in previous games. Most likely they have not implemented it since a very small number of players have been using it.
