Dude this is battlefield, the game has always been somewhat fast paced arcade shooter. What you're looking for it something like Squad, Arma or any of those much slower milsim games. As for the size of the maps, bf6's smallest map(not saints quarter) is 3x the size of the largest cod map. Go watch any old gameplay from any of the Battlefield series and youll see what Im talking about when it comes to the pacing of the game.
Y are you comparing BF maps to COD maps. real BF maps should give you calluses just from trying to traverse the field on foot, not feel like you are going out to get coffee. Don't need to see it cause you shouldn't compare apples to oranges, Skyrim is not an fps even though you can add guns and it had multiplayer at some point, but yes it had a big map and it was fun
Battlefield has always had maps of varying sizes though.
My friend I suggest you go and check battlefield 2 and battlefield 2142 maps. They were awesome maps and big design.
