It really isn't. That dropoff was going to happen regardless. Literally happens to **bleep** near every game.
you sure love defending this game tooth and nail.
to go from nearly 700,000 active players to barely getting 50,000 players in less than a year is not a normal player drop.
Yes player drops happen but not to this degree and it's so funny watching you defend this game tooth and nail day in day out on the forums.

I find it more weird how much people complain about good games.

Yet here you are complaining about people complaining that they want to see the game be successful by offering feedback and discussion opportunities. Crossplay option for PC players is a huge talking point for players on both console and pc.

I'm not complaining lol. What ya'll are doing is complaining, and the minority of the minority of the 0.0001% of people that use forums isn't a huge talking point. Your average gamer doesn't care about mouse vs controller or whether crossplay is a thing or not. They want their queue times to be fast and they want to just play.

battlefield 6 is far from a good game lol. it was only ever good in beta. full release was only ever ok but since then the game has become worse with each patch.

Raansu86 will defend this game if their life depended on it. This troll is in every thread about crossplay and hitreg/dsync/net code thread on here putting blame on the OP. They will find anything to deny just for the sake of denying it if what someone states is true. We need a block feature on the forums so we can ignore these narcissists.
But they won't step foot in the Season 3 is here! We want your feedback! thread because it's too much visibility into their combative personality. I find it pretty interesting that all they pulled out from my analysis is...

Then the typical pivot to "other games did this" is so tired. Yes, we all see it. We all see drops in player counts for unknown reasons. To compare this game to ARC Raiders is delusional. ARC Raiders currently averages roughly 25,000 to 50,000 concurrent players on SteamDB, a decline of about 85-90% from its historic peak of 481,966 concurrent players hit during its massive launch window in late 2025. SteamDB The game currently retains 5.19% to 10.37% of its peak launch audience during normal hours, jumping up to 14.52% during peak daily activity.
Yet still no real response on why the option to disable crossplay for PC is mentioned, attempting to derail the topic like they do in nearly every post. They are opposed to giving individual control to others and it gets under their skin.

I 100% agree with this statement. That game is NOT Battlefield in no comparison. Compare apples to the sun.
If you spend any time asking Google for the analysis, you will see that ARC Raiders is doing much better on player retention than Battlefield. EA may have sold a ton of copies but the dwindling player base is speaking loudly. DICE needs to get on top of the major, repetitive bugs plaguing the game. Eventually it will be down to the final hold-outs (its okay Raansu86, you can play all you want and however you want) to which they will end support. My guess is around the end of Season 5. If it goes beyond that, I'll be surprised.
Let's see what mid to late October looks like for Battlefield 6 and the drastic measure EA takes to cling to the 1%

I've given in dept posts about how networking works and how crossplay has nothing to do with desync. You choosing to ignore facts isn't me trolling.

I've posted in that thread.

Because there's no actual legitimate reason for it.

Pointing out realities like player drop off having nothing to do with crossplay isn't derailing a post. It's just something that happens to pretty much every game.

What facts would those be? Tell us all, what intimate knowledge do you have about how these matches are created from EA's networking perspective? Be specific because your ragtag network job you have won't compare to the worldwide infrastructure AWS is using. You pretend to know, but you don't.
Just because you say you work in IT and know the text book diagram of the OSI model doesn't make you an expert on EA's AWS elastic servers an their infrastructure. I, too, work for a global company on their Security Operations Center and have for quite some time. Even working on Data Loss Prevention teams to bring in new vendors and standing up security stacks. Packet analysis is very common and not unusual but lets not flex epeens cuz it really doesn't matter. I won't argue on it because like you, I don't know EA's and AWS's network infrastructure and the NNEs that connect to the Microsoft and Sony DMZs via encrypted connection. There are too many unknows to say that there ISNT a problem with the "handshake" between EA hosted AWS servers, Microsoft's and Sony's protected networks. It's not like some giant LAN game.
With the speed of the game and the fast TTK, that info needs to be delivered in a fraction of a second to ALL clients on that game (or server). DICE continues to give us glimpses into fixing the netcode every so often. Even providing an update that they must use "time nudge" to get it as close to real time as possible. This is a subtle confirmation that there is a problem. Forgive the rest of us when DICE confirms there is a problem and is in active break/fix or development and we don't trust the exchange of packet information between all platforms and connected clients. That information quite literally has to travel physical distance. EA's servers are getting it wrong and the players here feel it. So the players offer feedback to try to remedy the symptom by asking for the option to disable crossplay, even temporarily. Who are you to say they shouldn't get what they want?
The fact is you don't know anything about the ecosystem of the trifecta of EA + SONY + MICROSOFT works to connect all of the players together on AWS, in a shared space. You just assume you do and you present some BS bravado to stroke your own ego. You trust your facts and won't listen to other people's feedback on an open forum. Instead, you troll on.
Who knows, EA, MS, Sony, and Amazon may be working very hard on trying to figure out a problem they are seeing in their logs, dashboards, and reports. They just aren't being transparent and that's why people come here.

Posted, sure. Contributed? Doubtful. I could waste my time looking at Member: Raansu86 | EA Forums for post history but it really isn't worth it. I've got far better things to do.

The players are not enough of a good enough reason? I'll make it easy for you. Search | EA Forums Now remember, this is just here, on EA forums. Pop open Reddit, Steam, and YouTube and you can see that there is overwhelming desire for (I just can't figure out why you hate the concept of people having) the OPTION to toggle crossplay on or off for PC. EA said Okay to consoles. 🤷♂️
Console players are also asking for this. If all three camps are saying they want it, EA needs to act in one way or another.

It's a talking point to add to the ever growing call for the option for players to separate the lobbies if they choose too, not the reason to convince someone. The more the player base shrinks the more concentrated this becomes.
If all you want to do is argue, just keep it to yourself and move on.
