HAND GRANADES NEED BUFF

i think so im not only one who noticed that many time enemy is standing next to granade and it deals no damage - by my opinion hand granades should get buff in range of effect ... like a lot

the next thing what im a bit not happy about is the throw trajectory / curve - its too much in front throw instead of some nice curve and most time its not possible to throw good granade at spot

two solutions ... one :  make there some line of throw visible when holding granade ready for throwing ... OR change the trajectory to be more curved and to be easy to say where im throwing, when im trying to throw some long drop granade

any other ideas for hand granades ?

  • I haven't noticed that.  I think nades are perfect and its always been a bf fav weapon of mine lol.   what needs a buff is the assault grenade launcher lol.  its nerfed into the ground.   at least let it do some dmg to vehicles too.  I mean that thing takes so much skill to actually hit something with i'm channeling my unreal tournament childhood lol.  Meanwhile the RPG is a super noob canon.  haha.

I made a post recently that I liked to always hear when my own nade explodes, and I don't always hear the sounds in bf6,  and there has never been a better kill in the game for me,  then dying,  but then waiting to hear my nade go off,  and then to get the kill,  or even better a multi kill while i'm dead on the floor.  Bf6 doesn't disappoint.

  • I think the damage is ok.

What I do agree on is the throwing dynamics, it really feels counter intuitive and I end up hitting stuff in front of me instead of landing them where I intended it to go. Often when I try to throw a grenade through a window I end up hitting the wall underneath the window. It might be my BF2042 muscle memory, but then the question is why would you change something that obviously was not broken.

Same goes for grenade indicators. I sometimes get surprised by a grenade next to me, the warning could be a lot clearer, and while we're at it what happened to the mechanic to chuck grenades back to its sender?

  • I think all explosives in this game could use a blast radius increase. Not a huge increase, but definitely requires something.

I have video of RPGs going off right next to an engineer's head (literally right next to it)...5 Points for Suppression. Second RPG goes right "through" the engineer's body, 70 damage.

Guy is shooting through window behind a wall. RPG the wall right where the person is standing. Wall crumbles...5 points Suppression. In previous BF titles, you would take out the wall and the guy immediately behind it; and best part, RPG's shape charge argument doesn't even make sense here, since the player is standing directly where the shape charge would expend its energy.

Grenades within a couple feet of the player...doesn't kill the player.

Grenade Launchers hitting the wall right above a player in a room...doesn't kill the player.

C4 having a horrible radius of like 2 feet; and let's not get into the fact that 3 C4 only works on tanks from like 2 angles now (directly behind and I think below the tank).

Only weapons I feel like have a good blast radius at this time are the AT mines (since they are triggered by proximity and/or targeted explosives) and the claymore (though claymore in Redsec/Gauntlet is almost pointless because it doesn't do enough damage to kill with armor on). Though the mines now suffer due to the inability to stack them (which I also think is a dumb decision, for a variety of reasons), so they aren't spectacular in and of themselves.

Explosives in this game are pretty sad to be honest. Older battlefields had much better explosives and were much more fun to use them; to be honest, in older battlefields, I rarely died with explosive ammo remaining, now, I rarely use explosives, because if I have to score direct hits, it's just easier to shoot the person with my gun. The whole idea of forcing them out of cover, etc doesn't work when they aren't dangerous outside of within 2 feet.

yes this was my issue too.  they really floaty and you have to aim super high.  its definitely diff physics then past games but you get use to it.   now i can literally flick them much more accurately even at distance.

  • The curve it flies is okay ish, I can throw them accurately into windows and such with no problems, but the blast radius should be a tiny bit larger.

I remember BF2 Strike at Karkand was a very grenade heavy map, there you had support ppl playing basicly nothing but grenadiers, they threw grenades nonstop, I miss the grenade gameplay of BF2. The map felt like a real hell hole, with mortars and grenades going off around you nonstop, those were the days. :D

You have no idea what you saying, grenade are already OP. Pls do not listen to this man.

  • I think grenades are literally perfect.    perfect brother this is coming from a bf vet.   I adapted to how light they are to throw,   the only thing that bothers me is rockets in a tank do no dmg to infantry.  It destroys everything around the guy,  but the guy is unhurt lmao.   They seemed to already have buffed the grenade launcher of assault,  either that or I just got better with it I dunno,  but that also has a low blast radius.      But Tanks,   especially the AA vehicle  is super gimped against infantry.    The only thing viable against them is machine guns.   and its the only bf that has ever been like this.   its a little candy for me to be honest.  feels too carebear and nerfed maybe to appease cod fans who don't even like vehicle play.

literally the only thing wrong with the game,  is the AA vehicle and Tank rockets being too nerfed against infantry.   All my other complaints I had when I first got this game have been addressed.
