Hardcore mode in main Menu for Veteran players

Not sure why you're all replying to me. I think hardcore should be the default. I think games have gotten far too easy. Like they're made for braindead kids.

I completely agree that keeping it hidden in Portal diminishes its importance. Putting it directly in the main menu would give veteran players the recognition they deserve and make it easier for everyone to experience the intense, skill based gameplay that defines Hardcore. It’s great to see others echoing this, and the more voices we have, the harder it will be for DICE to overlook. Hopefully they understand how essential this mode is and give it the visibility it truly deserves.

Saying that adding Hardcore to the main menu would ‘split the player base’ completely misses the point of why this mode exists and why so many players care about it. Hardcore isn’t just a niche or secondary option it represents the essence of Battlefield: teamwork, skill, strategy, and realism. Casual modes like Conquest or Domination will always exist and have large communities, so there’s no real risk of splitting players; it’s about giving those who want a more intense experience a proper place in the game, not hiding it away in Portal. Limiting Hardcore to Portal makes it feel like it’s optional, when in reality it has been a core part of Battlefield for years. New players and veterans alike need visibility of this mode to understand what the game is truly about. By putting Hardcore directly in the main menu, DICE would be sending a clear message: they value different playstyles and recognize the loyal players who have loved the series for its challenging, immersive modes. This isn’t just a convenience issue it’s about respect for the community and preserving what makes Battlefield unique. Hardcore deserves the same visibility as Conquest or Domination. Ignoring that would be a mistake, and I really hope the developers listen to this feedback before it’s too late 

PHXShockr​  I have to disagree strongly with this. Hardcore being in the main menu wouldn’t split the player base  it would give players choice. Those who want casual modes can still play Conquest or Domination, and those who prefer Hardcore get easy access. Portal is fine for custom setups, but making Hardcore a core option shows respect for veteran players and the mode itself !!!!

It feels like some of the core Battlefield experiences, like Hardcore and weapon/vehicle progression, are being pushed aside. That’s exactly why having Hardcore directly in the main menu is so important it would bring back a piece of what made BF truly great :) 

There is, honestly, a stunning lack of support for what made BF good in the first place. Hardcore mode shoved to the side. Locked weapons hidden. Vehicle progression... is that gone too? smh

fq9yp0dulwng​  Exactly! I’m glad to see you feel the same way. Hardcore really is a core part of Battlefield, and it deserves the same visibility as other main modes. The more voices support this, the more likely DIce will listen and give us direct access from the menu.

Leaving Hardcore only inside Portal makes it feel optional or secondary, when in reality many of us consider it the true Battlefield experience. If DICE adds it directly into the menu, it sends a strong message that they value every part of the community, not just the most casual player base. This small change could go a long way toward keeping veteran players engaged and showing that Battlefield is still about choice, variety, and respecting different playstyles. I really appreciate all of you agreeing with this. It shows that Hardcore isn’t just my personal preference but something a lot of players truly care about. The more of us that support this idea, the more likely it is that the developers will notice and bring Hardcore back as a main option. Hopefully, they’ll understand how important it is for the Battlefield community and finally give us direct access from the menu.

I also support this idea. Hardcore mode has always been one of the defining experiences of Battlefield, and limiting it only to Portal feels like it takes away from its importance. A lot of players want a more realistic and challenging experience, and Hardcore provides exactly that. By putting it directly in the main menu, the developers would not only make it easier for us to join but also show that Hardcore is recognized as a core part of the game, not just a side option. This would strengthen the community around Hardcore and keep more players engaged in the long run…
