Hardcore Mode
BFBC2, BF3, BF4 all actually played and felt like something unique. Battlefield was a game where even in non-hardcore mode it felt like a different kind of shooter. I had a ton of hope for BF6, with promises of going back to it's roots - the Battlefields of old. Instead, we got a BF that feels like every weapon or gadget is a pea-shooter and everyone is a bullet sponge.
Hardcore mode basically doesn't exist and now that the portal XP progression is nerfed it's gone completely. In standard mode, not one weapons actually feels like hits with impact... C4? Better stick it on a guy 3 feet away and he's slightly injured. Headshot with a DMR? Nope, add another one for good measure he's still got the wherewithal after taking one to the dome to zig zag and start firing back you while halo jumping... Get shot in the chest with Sniper? Just lie down for a second in cover and everything is fine in about 4 seconds when your overshield... I mean "health" recharges.
I loved the old BF's because they were NOT CoD. Standard mode is like CoD and BF had a child and it came out with all the bad traits of each parent.
Please bring back an official hardcore mode. One like the aforementioned games used to offer. Hardcore mode where moving strategically and with caution was how to find success... all this run and gun, full auto, jump-slide, twitch-shooter just isn't it.
A handful of tweaks and a set of official servers could make this game something that actually resembles the best years of BF. Whatever this is, isn't it. BF6 has it's moments, but they are far and few between because it doesn't actually feel like Battlefield.
