How do I stop the camera from switching to third-person when entering vehicles?

It is extremely jarring having the camera rip to third person whenever I enter a vehicle, and annoying having to change it with the 'C' key after entering or spawning in one.

It does not remember what it was last set to, and I cannot find a setting for it anywhere in options.

I get there was not a working interior made for some of the passenger seats (like in the IFVs) and those will be stuck in third-person, but I never want to pilot a vehicle in third person and when entering one from on foot it's more than annoying
