I agree 

I managed to unlock some stuff on the starting sniper rifle and as soon as you unlock the DLC bolt, you no longer have enough attachment points. This thing costs 30 points for something that IMHO should have been included from the start instead of an attachment.

yes the current attachment limit is a real killjoy
