There’s no denying it, cheaters exist, and some of them will claim they haven’t done anything wrong. 😂 But the other side of the coin is equally true: many players are being banned despite never cheating. I speak from experience, I was banned without ever using cheats, and I’m firmly against cheating in any form.
I recently played a session of COD where it was painfully obvious the opposing team was cheating. Their aim was instantaneous, locking onto me within milliseconds, and it was clear the entire team was exploiting unfair advantages. I left that game and joined another, and the gameplay returned to normal. Occasionally, you might encounter someone whose character seems to move oddly or kill you unexpectedly, but that’s often just an animation or network issue.
Overall, it was an unpleasant experience that ultimately led me to uninstall the game. Cheating is seriously undermining the gaming industry, and measures being taken by developers like DICE are a step in the right direction. It’s crucial to protect legitimate players and ensure fair, competitive experiences
For context, I had been playing Battlefield 6 for over 60 hours on my PC without any additional software installed before I was banned. The only change on that day was an iCUE update, which conflicted with Armory Crate and caused issues with Scuf controller button remapping. I launched Battlefield 6 while experiencing these issues and was subsequently permanently banned.
Like many others, I approached the game with integrity and confidence, knowing that I had not cheated. However, being banned can potentially happen to anyone for a variety of reasons. Just as games themselves can have glitches and errors, anti-cheat software is also susceptible to similar malfunctions.
