Im So Tired

[CM edit: removed profanity]

I've been playing Battlefield since BF2. It has always been my favorite shooter because it wasn't trying to be anything else. No crazy movement mechanics, no hero abilities, no endless gun customization. Just large-scale warfare, teamwork, vehicles, and chaos.

I've been disappointed with Battlefield 6 since launch, but I kept telling myself it would get better. So far, the biggest positive has been the railway map.

Bring back the Commander role.

Seriously. Bring back artillery strikes, supply drops, UAVs, commander assets, and strategic gameplay. Those systems added depth and gave players ways to contribute beyond simply shooting. In BF2, one of my favorite things was sneaking behind enemy lines and destroying commander assets. It created objectives within objectives and made every match feel different.

Speaking of removing fun, why was C4 nerfed?

That was honestly my last straw. Some of my favorite Battlefield moments came from doing ridiculous things with C4. Jeep bombs, desperate anti-tank plays, creative ambushes—those moments are part of Battlefield's identity. Battlefield has always been at its best when players are given tools and freedom to create memorable moments.

The same goes for removing things like placing mines on vehicles. Was it realistic? No. Was it fun? Absolutely. If somebody pulled it off against me, I'd usually laugh and think, "Good play."

I only play Conquest. That's Battlefield to me. I've tried the other modes, and none of them capture what made the series special. Conquest is where the scale, strategy, vehicles, and teamwork all come together.

Another thing: why is everyone sliding around?

It feels completely out of place. Battlefield doesn't need to imitate Call of Duty. If I wanted that style of movement, I'd go play Call of Duty. I never liked Call of Duty, which is exactly why I played Battlefield instead.

The maps are another major disappointment.

Where are the large, memorable battlefields? Where are the vehicle-focused maps with room for tanks, aircraft, flanking routes, and long-range engagements? Most maps from BF4 were at least solid. Today, I find myself playing only a handful of maps because the rest simply aren't enjoyable.

And the class system needs work.

I'd honestly prefer weapon-locked classes again. Battlefield classes used to have identities and roles. Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon all brought something unique to the team. Now it often feels like everyone can do everything, and team play suffers because of it.

Maybe this is just a veteran player venting.

But what frustrates me is not that Battlefield is changing. It's that Battlefield seems to be moving away from the things that made Battlefield unique in the first place.

I don't want Battlefield to become Call of Duty.

I want Battlefield to remember what made Battlefield great.

Total chaos wrapped in strategic play.

If the next season doesn't address the continued simplification of the game, I think I'm done buying future Battlefield titles. I've stuck with this franchise since BF2 because I love it, but it's becoming harder and harder to recognize.

I do not want any responses either, because i simply will not be checking the forums.

And for the record, I'm still not paying for skins.

Have a good day.
