There is an option for editing joystick binds in the controller menu but it does not accept inputs from the most used joystick Logitech 3d pro. Eventually 2 years after launch they added it to 2042. I seem to remember even bf3 having issues with joystick support for the first few weeks at launch they never got it right at launch since bf2 why would they change the habit of a lifetime.
u can for now however use hidhide and x360ce to turn your joystick inputs into controller ones we still have to do this for Star Wars battlefront2 2017 to this day. Guess dice will fix that in the next patch along with hackers using dev commands to de spawn galactic conquest walkers mid match. patch oh wait
Anyway don't be in a hurry to break out your joysticks the vehicle physics and handling are even worse than 2042 not to mention there is no way to repair jets as there are no runways with repair stations. When will dice realise the the best air physics and handling that required the most skill was bf2 and just go back to that...you had it right in 2005 why do you keep trying to fix something that is not broken
