Penguin thinks many of these concerns are reasonable and valid, but game balance is often much more complicated than what it looks from most players perspectives, and usually takes a lot of time with many small cumulative/gradual changes over time, rather than a big change in specific aspects of the game ⏲️
For example, making AA stronger sounds like a simple solution, but Penguin recommends careful adjustments over time. One of the reasons game teams often make gradual balance changes is so they can observe the cumulative effects and gather feedback from players and gaming communities before making further changes.
If AA vehicles become too effective, air vehicles can stop being fun to use, resulting in fewer players using them, which can introduce an entirely different balance problem. 👉 Fun to use = Penguins Key concern in this regard 🔑
The same thing applied before the RPG nerf and tank armor buff in Season 3, where many players expressed frustration when using tanks and AA vehicles because of RPG effectiveness.
Penguin also thinks team balance is one of the hardest problems in multiplayer games and often one of the biggest sources of community frustration. Pretty much why Penguin takes the time to try put this explanation together! 😀 The topic of this thread = important friend! 😎🕶️
A match can appear unbalanced for multiple reasons.
Sometimes it is matchmaking, but it can also be caused by highly skilled players ending up on one side, stronger squad coordination, communication, vehicle usage, map knowledge, or simply nothing more than small differences in team composition.

😀Penguin simply thinks that many of these mechanics are connected, and changing one part of the equation can create unexpected consequences elsewhere.
