Map boundaries

I’m really frustrated with how the map boundaries have changed since the beta. I’m mainly a sniper player, and the new restrictions make the game feel way more limited and less tactical.

On Liberation Peak, there’s a mountain right in the middle of the map that we could climb halfway up during the beta — it was one of the best spots for long-range play. Now it’s completely out of bounds in the full release, and that just feels wrong. Liberation Peak was one of my favorite maps during the beta, and it’s disappointing to see such a change.

In Battlefield 1, the maps felt wide, open, and natural — we had real freedom to explore and find creative positions. I really hope EA and DICE reconsider this design choice and bring back the more open map style we had before.

Have you noticed the same thing on other maps?

The aircraft boundaries such ad Manhattan Bridge are wayyyyy too strict and don't necessarily allow for enough time to turn around momentum in a helicopter.

Apart from that I'm hoping more big maps are on the way as infantry are the the common denominator and challenges exist such as sniper kills of minimum 200m.

  • Agree 100%. I mean on some maps you can be in a building but half of it is considered out of bounds, how stupid is that.
