Yes, matchmaking balance sucks but what I think is really causing lop-sided wins/losses are the challenges. It seems like every game I play, especially conquest, half the lobby (or more!) is doing anything but ptfo. Last night on Firestorm, 3 tanks doing absolutely nothing but sitting in spawn or up on the hill taking pot shots across the map (probably trying to destroy/damage aircraft/vehicles for a challenge). Blue dots everywhere except the 5 out of 6 points we don't have (probably off trying to get those 10 headshot kills with the dmr or sniper). My own squadmate sniping from the smokestack for literally the entire match (he finished in last place). I'm the only one switching to engineer to shoot tanks because the entire lobby must have rolled the support weeklies.
When you have challenges that force people to use weapons, vehicles and classes they don't normally use, this is what you end up with. A bunch of people focused on getting challenges done the easiest, fastest way they can and not worried about winning a match. Challenges should be more focused on rewarding players for playing the game mode how it should be played. Capture/defend 5 points in Conquest, capture/defend 5 sectors in Breakthough, win matches, score over 10,000 in a round, etc. People could still play the game how they want, but it would at least encourage ptfo style game play.

Challenges based around doing objectives instead of kills with a carbine under 25 meters would definitely be nice.
