Dice I would love to see an option for shotguns to load one shell at a time (per press R) that way when I'm attacking an objective I don't get stuck in a 15 sec long reload animation. This is a feature in many other games, would be a good addition.
In previous games the reload animation of shotguns has been immediatly stopped if you pulled the trigger again, but that doesn't happen in BF6, it just takes way too long to stop the animation. It's really really bad with the DB-12.
Yeah, this please. We need a reload cancel, pull the trigger or interact button. Something.
I think if you ADS it will stop the reloading?
Usually not, because you can reload while ADS with shotguns.
You can kind of do it with the M87A1 and M1014. You can interrupt both reload animations by mashing the fire button. I could also interrupt the M1014 one by switching to my sidearm, but couldn't seem to replicate it on the M87A1 (it's less convenient anyway). ADS definitely doesn't stop it, though, unfortunately.
The inability to interrupt reload is what stopped me using shotguns...
In the heat of the moment it is rather infuriating, especially when we've been 'trained' by every other FPS that firing interrupts reload and let's you shoot with whatever you've put in so far.
Overlooking basics like this is rather concerning.
DB-12 is the worst shotgun in the game. Practically useless. One shot up close will not kill the enemy. Sometimes it takes more than 2 hits to kill the enemy at a distance of 5m. Automatic Saiga is a much better option over DB-12. M87 is much better, and practicall one shot one kill. M1014 is in third place.
And yes... You cannot interrupt reload! One of the things that forced me to stop playing BF6! The last time I could not interrupt reload was BF2 in 2005!
