Mortars and IFVs

2 things that are really affecting my Quality of life in the game right now.  Please for the love of god and all that is holy let the IFV replenish it's ammunition at an actual respectable rate. 12 rounds every 20 seconds or so is a joke. I have done so well and ran completely dry to the point where I can't fight so many times and I have to sit there on an ammunition point FOR EVER just to get to the point where I can fight at all again. This is not good gameplay, fix that. MBTs are in a good spot.

Mortars, need a bit of a damage buff (or a splash increase) OR a time to target buff. I would take either. Additionally since we are spotted on the map, which is fine. Take away the ability for the recon drone to kill us. That is unbalanced. If we're going to be spotted at least make it so the enemy has to either sneak up to us or fight to get to us. It's very unfun to have 15 recon drones buzzing around you just waiting like vultures. Also please give us more options on maps on where to deploy mortars. Currently on breakthrough game modes as an attacker there are maps that are open maps, like liberation peak, where the attackers LITERALLY CANNOT deploy the mortar until were almost on top of the objective. That is unbalanced.

Thanks for comin to my ted talk.

  • As for the Recon drones, when I was playing Battlefield 2042 it was common for Recon to put two or three C5 charges on their drone -- I did it all the time -- and fly it into an armed vehicle. Kaboom! The only saving grace for the enemy was that the Recon drone had a fairly limited range.

I have used Recon drones a bit in Battlefield 6 and the range is still fairly limited. So, if you sense a Recon drone buzzing toward you be aware that the operator is fairly close and you should just bug out of that area real fast. (Honestly, I don't think there are 15 Recon drones chasing you, but, whatever.

As for the IFV, I love it. First off, you should be in Engineer loadout if you're going to drive tanks. Secondly, use the Vehicle Supply Crate and stick it in a place where you can rapidly get back to it.

First Principle -- Tanks are for ranged attack! Do not get up close because you will quickly find an Engineer guy shooting three RPGs up your tailpipe! Hang back and stay safe.

And one thing that I repeatedly noticed and it's a huge mistake and that is that some drivers think a tank is to drive up to an objective and just wait there. Big mistake! You will find plenty of enemy Engineers around with RPGs who would just love to blow you up and have already loaded the place with anti-vehicle mines, and some Recon guys who have C4 explosives already to throw on your tank. Again, kaboom!

So, no, just no. Just because you're having a tantrum, EA DICE is not going to change the game to make you, personally, happy.

Nothing you said is applicable to anything I said in my op. The recon drones are not loaded with C4 and they are not operating close by. They are  coming from quite far away and it is unbalanced. There are alot of videos documenting this on youtube clips.  It is unbalanced. There are in fact, a crap ton of drones flying around the map doing exactly this.

Second, Nothing you said about IFV or tank driving has anything to do with what I said in my OP. I am always in an engineer class when I drive. I rarely if ever drive onto the point and pretty much do everything you said. My issue is not dying alot in IFVs. And the ammo crate is the same as the base ammo crate.

My entire post with the IFV is only about the rate at which ammunition on it gets replenished. It takes 3 whole minutes sitting doing nothing on an ammunition supply crate to replenish an IFV back to full ammunition. This is too long. I have routinely found myself sitting right next to deployable ammunition crates my friends deploy for me, running completely dry especially holding points on breakthrough. So again. please actually read what I wrote.
