Multiplayer not installed? Infuriating

its a rare circumstance when my system actually detects through the EA app that I have multiplayer for BF6 and that it is installed. I constantly get errors saying i have to download it, I cant do anything in this game and its driving me up the wall. Is there a fix for this? I have done the following:

• Uninstalled and re-installed the game
• deleted cache files
• loaded the local game vs the cloud
• repaired the install numerous times

I just get constant errors saying the game failed to upload to the cloud, and that multiplayer is not installed. How do i fix this, what the **bleep** did i spend 80 bucks on?
