New Update, New Mouse, BANNED
I been playing BF5 for over 300 plus hours absolutely no cheating and my mouse left click failed and had to go out and buy a new one. I got a Logitech G502 Mouse with a small thumb rest and 3 buttons on the left side. I downloaded the Logitech OnboardMemoryManager_2.6.1749.exe and setup my mouse binds. Then went in the game and set my G5 and G4 buttons on the mouse that are right above the thumb placement to Gadget 4 and the other to Class Ability and Call in Gadget. Once I got into the game I would get into a shooting match and accidently hit one of the G4 buttons and mid fight it would switch to one of my gadgets. This inevitable gets me killed. I kept on playing this way hoping I could relearn how to not accidently hit these buttons, but my thumb is too large and I repeatably keep hitting these buttons. So, while in game, I press Windows + tab switch two second desktop (windows 11) and start up the OnboardMemoryManager_2.6.1.749.exe and set both G4 and G5 buttons to do nothing. Then close the application and then return to game and clear the same bindings in the game. I continued to play for about 1 hour and bam... mid game I am banned for cheating. This is ridiculous. Setting up my mouse buttons should not get me banned. I haven't used any software other than this, and I haven't cheated! I am BEYOND pissed! I literally just bought the game on the 12th of this month after so many hours just playing RedSec I figured ok I am here to stay, so I purchased the game. Frustrated and pissed doesn't come close to how I feel. I read a lot of posts on reddit and elsewhere and never joined in the discussion when people would bash someone claiming if you were banned it was because you obviously were cheating. WELLL... I just assumed ya, that's probably true. Well, I be ... here I sit looking like... this not even real. Common sense should tell someone that if redsec is free and someone wanted to cheat they would simply play the free version. I am not risking my money on something like that. Refund my money or please remove this false ban. This is ridiculous. I filed an appeal but from what I have seen lately EA never really tells anyone what they did to cause this. Trust me or not, I am not foolish enough to come here crying if I was actually doing something would be considered cheating.
