October is too early for a big Battlefield

Battlefield EA DICE has shown the kids of this new generation what it means to play a FPS of total arcade warfare. They've partially succeeded and done a great job, but I think the goal of releasing the game in October is too pretentious and stupid. As a veteran, I really appreciated the work that was done and I had those WOW moments that took me back to my youth with Battlefield 3/4, so let's start with the FACT that this is a REAL BATTLEFIELD!

-There are problems with the Settings settings: they're confusing folders and subfolders, some that do the same thing, others that are the same thing, but it's not clear.
-In particular, I had problems adjusting the HIT MARKER, which wouldn't adjust, and the Damage couldn't be adjusted either, at least in my version,So, Ladies and Gentlemen, the settings need to be streamlined, clean and in a way that doesn't confuse the players.

-I encountered several bugs like lights and thunder while playing. For example, the Battle of Cairo is the one where I saw the most of them. When breaking through to Flag B, behind the flag, there's a building with two spotlights. These emit very strong light that gives off a flashbang effect. Any player can hide inside or spawn.
-Another bug: I used the knife and polygonal shapes came out, spinning around my head as if I had a cloud of bad luck hanging over me!

-On Flag B in Cairo, there's a fixed turret that launches a TOW missile. You can enter it but can't exit it. I had to redeploy.

-On the Liberation Peak map, I used the Jet quite enthusiastically. I noticed a heat-like blur effect while flying the Jet in third-person.

-In general, I noticed that many headshots with the sniper weren't registering correctly, giving you only 80 damage.
And several players managed to kill you, for example, with only 14 50 damage despite having full health.
It didn't always register hits correctly.

-I understand it's a beta, but the game needs to be well optimized. It consumes a lot of CPU and RAM resources.
It crashes due to excessive virtual memory usage.
The framerate isn't stable and isn't optimized enough, even on high-end or mid-range systems like mine, which normally run at 160/170 fps.

-I don't like private servers and criminal admins who bring cheating friends onto the server, but...
I didn't like the SBMM system. I ended up playing the same map multiple times, always with new players who didn't even know you have to use a rocket to take down a tank, or use a defibrillator to revive, or that capturing the flag wins. They were constantly people who just wanted to get kills and instead of taking them down, they got shot down.
I prefer a system where I can choose servers based on player count and ping, perhaps on official servers with a high number of tickets.

So I'll update any further bugs when I do the next test.
The game is great, it's a Battlefield game and has great potential, but we haven't even seen 1/3 of the final game, so EA DICE needs to work hard on this game before releasing it. They can't ask for money by releasing bugs or game errors.
So I think October is too early. Fix it first, then ask!

Greetings and thanks to the guys and the owners of EA DICE, who are doing a great job.
GUYS? It's great, but it needs to be fixed.

  • So, Battlefield 6 is set to drop on October 10, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA announced that date during the multiplayer reveal, and it’s all over their official pages and gaming news, so it looks pretty locked in for now.

From what you’re saying about the beta—bugs like weird lighting, hit detection issues, messy settings menus, performance drops—it sounds like you’re not alone. A bunch of players are sharing the same worries, saying October feels a bit too soon if the game’s still in this shape. People are bringing up Battlefield 2042’s rocky launch as a “please don’t repeat this” warning.

Right now though, EA/DICE haven’t said anything about delaying. The beta this month is meant to gather feedback, but release is still just under two months away, so they’re on a tight schedule if they want to address everything.

Bottom line: October 10 is still the plan. The community’s torn—everyone’s hyped because it feels like a real Battlefield again, but also nervous that they’re rushing it out before it’s fully polished.

Let's say the game is as big as their ambitions.

"With great power comes great responsibility."

  • I can't see/discuss problems until i play a large proper Battlefield map. Until then, i don't care about what happens on these hallways.

Very good, so you could have saved yourself the time to write in this section. You can do it when you've played larger maps...😆
