Since the bot lobby nerf happened, I noticed that hardcore servers no longer have full XP. That makes it very unappealing for me to play. I feel that hardcore servers should be the exception. Does anyone else agree? Feel free to add your thoughts to this discussion.
Agreed. I used to play HC servers instead of official because at least in HC everyone's lethality went up so SMGs didn't dominate the game completely.
But without progression then most of the fun is gone.
What EA/DICE did to bot progression was like chopping the nose to spite the face. Sure they no longer have an itchy nose...but that's because they don't have a nose at all anymore.
This is for real? Man they really hate hardcore players. They refuse to make Hardcore part of the standard mode list so we can one-click and play it. They have it tucked away in the custom games despite having a massive amount of people wanting to play it. The breakthrough and rush hardcore modes don't even work, they are just core.
Me and my friends bought this game purely because we had the option to play HC only, and now it has been taken away from us.
With the changes they just made, they should at least create official HC servers.
Absolutely agree lol. In BF4 and BF1 I really enjoyed hardcore in those games. i just wish they would have thought about us. Hopefully they will make some future changes.
def need to get hardcore official servers. or enable full xp for ai-backfilled portal hc servers.
Not having rush working, let alone having hardcore servers is very upsetting to me. So many great memories in rush. Bought BF6 with the intention that it was in the game (They are working on it from what I heard).
Either way putting hardcore in the custom menu is very annoying. I feel like it should have been on the front page of the multiplayer menu.
they gave us a hardcore official server at launch but it had all standard settings, (like still had crosshair and full HUD with the same player HP as regular modes) and wasn't truly hardcore, they removed it soon after, (I'm hoping to fix the settings and bring it back online) but until that happens i wont be playing BF6 anymore, its really a disappointment since the hardcore mode is what really brings the game to life, without hardcore its just another bullet sponge game that requires you to use only the top 2-3 meta weapons in the game or get no kills.
Please Dice, add official harcore servers with XP. Unloading into people just to have them duck behind cover or slide out of the way really takes the fun out of the game for some of us. Sniping and SMGs seem to be the only way to get a decent K/D on normal servers and forces people out of the box who aren't 18 years old with reflexes like a cat. When assists are 2-4 times your kill-rate, its taking too many rounds to down a target. Hardcore adds the danger that keeps adrenaline up and forces tactical play instead of the run and gun bullet sponge that is present on most servers. Its frustrating to see the server lists populated with bot-xp-farming servers, but penalizing a large part of the community for wanting harder and more tactical gameplay is just a weird decision, to be honest. I know the game is fresh and changes are coming. I have been enjoying it immensely. I just want to see it thrive for everyone.
EA NEEDS to have official HC already. Why they won't do it is beyond me. The potential for streamers and player growth off hardcore servers would be only beneficial to them. Normal mode players won't be affected and it will only bring in more players.
Everyone should just do credit card chargebacks - **bleep** em, vote with your money
