Purchased Content on EA app not Present when Playing on Steam?

I own the game on Steam, have my EA, Steam, Xbox, PSN, etc all linked perfectly. Purchased additional content on EA app to get the 10% discount, but none of it showed up in game. My support ticket...

oh god I just did the same thing without realizing. only because steam doesn't accept paypal anymore so i figured (like a reasonable person would) that if the game account is cross platform then surely the currency is too
