Quick Question About Suppressors!

Is it me or what? I have a long suppressor on my KTX100 MK8. According to the info on this suppressor:

Fully hides in-world spotting, reduces the range where a solider spotted on the mini map, while firing.

Now I was behind a big bolder in the prone position at my base for at least 60 seconds and never made 1 shot and I was killed. How in  the hell did the bad guys see me there if I can't be seen in the mini map and did not even make 1 shot???

  • It stops auto spotting from firing your gun (but I think it still auto spots by enemies closer than 15m).

But it does not stop spotting by other players, particularly recons. If you were in base, guess you got taken out by a sniper?

They can still spot you, and they don't need to spot you to kill you either.

Sniper? Maybe but was behind a very large boulder at my base. O'well just seems odd to me thats all!

  • The lesson here is that you should always assume that you're spotted, even when you're not. Going prone and staying at a position for at least 60 seconds makes it more likely that you'll get shot, not less likely. It's quite possible that somebody saw you moving behind that rock, they followed you and you didn't notice a thing. They probably did a little dance and set up a campfire 1 meter behind your back and decided to kill you once they got bored.
