So I was one of the many that had issues on launch via EA App.
Dissaponted with the support recieved, on 14th October, I requested a refund via EA Case as the refund tool did not work. I today 25th Oct got a response to take it to chat who tell me due to their policy im not able for a refund.
they did not exactly explain the policy nor was I interesting in looking it up so my question is how can I get this refunded and if not why are they able to do this, basically theft no? in my point of view they have literally stole my money
Depending on the Country you're from you might have recourse via different avenues. EU / UK have consumer laws that you'd be able to claim under. US i'm not too sure. I feel for you as STEAM operate a ponzi scheme and denied my refund 4 times - i do feel for you as i'm in the same boat 🙁
Same for me, i bought the game few days ago but i installed and launched it today, played 1hr and 39min then i tried to refund, refund tool had no option for refund, then i chat with a person and i could not believe what he told me ...here is the conversation:
Thank you for contacting EA HELP, my name is Anjali, may I start with your first name please? Anjali hello, i want to refund BF6, just played few minutes and i don't like it, there is no option for refund at the refund tool, payment was completed by paypal this is John Kasiolas btw 8:02 PM Hello John, nice to meet you and I hope you are doing good! No worries, I will certainly look into options to help you with information related to it. Anjali thank you May I know the invoice number of your purchase? Anjali 1005326836563 8:03 PM Thanks for the invoice number, Please allow me a couple of minutes while I am checking this for you. Anjali 8:07 PM thank you very much 8:07 PM I totally get that you'd like a refund, but here's the thing: I checked, and you've already played the game. So let’s put it this way, Imagine ordering a delicious slice of pizza, taking a few bites, and then telling the restaurant, “Hmm, not my vibe, can I get my money back? Tough sell, right? Especially when the cheese is already gone! 8:13 PM Once a game’s been played, it’s kind of like that pizza, already served and enjoyed (even if just a little). Refunds typically apply only when the game hasn’t been launched or tasted, so to speak. Still, I’m here to help however I can! Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to check or if you need help with another issue. Anjali 8:14 PM played the game 15 minutes sir 8:15 PM rules say i can refund after 24 hnours its been 15 minutes since i played 15 minutes 8:16 PM I checked with the team regarding your refund request, and I'm really sorry to inform you that it was denied as it didn't meet the eligibility criteria(https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/refunds/).
I truly apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. 8:20 PM Had it been possible, I would have done it for you in first place. Anjali rules says 24hours even if launched the game Standard refund timeframes Launched the game: You have 24 hours after the first launch to request a refund. Did not launch the game: You have 14 days from the purchase date. Pre-ordered: You can request a refund any time before the release date. Technical issues: If the game is unplayable due to a technical problem within EA's control, you can often get a refund within 72 hours of the first launch if you purchased it within the first 30 days of its release. 8:21 PM https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/refunds/ 8:22 PM its on YOUR official page may i speak with a supervisor?
Sorry to hear other people having the same issue, this is discusting.
I'm from UK yes and we can chargeback through payment provider I believe hence why im so suprised they can just say not eligible due to their policy, pretty sure this is illegal, im sure everyone would love a no refund policy if it was that easy!
Take your money , do not provide the service OR SUPPORT and then don't have to refund would be great EA but unfortunately not for me....
If you bought the game via Steam then be careful if you're going to do a chargeback as they'll most likely ban your steam account for the chargeback. I'm in the UK and deciding on pushing the button on a chargeback and risking my steam account or swallowing the cost and chalking it up to EA being greedy b*stards.
i tried ot get a refund today, ea said i did not pass the criteria for a refund but would not explain why i failed. i am disabled and puchased the game with promise of xp prog on bots servers - which they have gone back on, this has to go against consumer rights and legislations. i purchsed thru ea app, but im thinking also i might go ahead with chargeback
