The shotgun pulling 134 damage is insane, it needs to be nerfed to 90 damage so that any other weapon at least has a chance to counter. There are squads teaming up with shotguns and flashlights blinding opponents getting..in my last game 25-2, 20-1, 18-0 k/d. Just shows how broken it is. We don't even have time to ADS our weapon, split second, boom dead.
Depends on what you mean by higher damage, it could deal like 60-70 damage even up to longer ranges if you hit perfectly, but no, shotgun should definitely not one shot kill even close to 50 yards, with or without slugs. That would just be insanely unbalanced. The one shot range with slugs should probably be around max 15 yards / 14 meters. Without slugs the max one shot potential should probably be around 9 yards / 8 meters.
got 2 shot by a shotty from 72 meters yesterday....last time I checked shotguns don't shoot with power and accuracy at 200+ feet
The sg is meant to be the best at close quarters. No one is complaining about snipers one shot killing at +100m ranges because it makes sense and works as intended. If you wanted to nerf the pump shotgun, the obvious change is to reduce its rate of fire because it pumps too fast.
The sniper one shots when it's a headshot, bodyshot doesn't one shot, i would agree if shotguns also only one shot kill with headshot and 90% bodyshot, so at least there's a possibility to counter. A shotgun that insta kills without not even being able to react, there's nothing fairplay about that.
Yes they do. Shotguns have slug rounds, which basically turns them into semi-snipers with some major downsides.

The by far most overpowered weapon in the game is the SMG. It performs better than a rifle, at rifle ranges, and it dominates in close quarters more so than the shotguns. Stop being a CODgirl and Cowboy up. Lern2Play, LessQQmorePEWPEW
No need for balancing. Shotguns have only very few opportunities to one shot kill you. SMG's are far more lethal than shotguns. When you have a shotgun/SMG duel, then most of the time SMG's win.
I've tried shotguns multiple times and never have I ever gotten a one shot kill with a shotgun from a 20-30 meters away. Try it yourself in the training room and see how much damage the shotgun actually makes when the distance is that much. When the distance is less than 10 meters then you may have a chance to get one shot kill with it.
