After unlocking all 3 shotguns, I can say that the M87A1 and the M1014 are both drastically overpowered with Slugs though they definitely aren't 1 shoting at 40m. Just pop into the firing range and you'll find that ADS with slugs fires with no bloom or spread whatsoever. You can instantly 2 tap the farthest target. That's why they are so broken right now. They are more accurate than every non-sniper in the game when ADS while also being a 1 shot kill in closer ranges.
I suspect the issue is the slugs in ADS are being treated like bullets and not like buckshot as far as possible spread is concerned. So single shots are going to be near laser accurate instead of how most games handle it where the bullets have a radius they could go instead of straight every time to balance them at ranges
Combine this with the multitude of bloom bugs for the other guns in the game (devs confirmed at least 2) and no wonder shotguns are dominating the game right now.
Now if you want to build them hip fire, they're pretty terrible, even at very close ranges, I'll give in on that.
