i think suppression needs to be added to combat them. theres none at the moment. so theyre kinda powerful.

I love recon, love sniping, been doing it with some degree of success since the origin of BF....but whole heartedly agree. I just did a firestorm map, and was getting ez kill at 200-400 meters with a 4x scope and a range finder.. A 4x SCOPE!. Sad thing is you kind of need to do this set up to compete, which is unfortunate. Used to be so much fun in BF4 doing sniper battles across the map trying to master the gol's bullet drop and velocity to hit a target at those ranges...

The only issue with snipers is you dont always get 100% kill on headshots iv had anywhere from 84 to 99 damage on headshots before at various ranges, people complain about the range finder but you can do it in real life, which the game is suppose to have the realism no?
There are manual scopes (rangefinder + turrets or BDC), semi-smart scopes (range + ballistic reticle/display) and fully automatic motorized scopes that can auto-dial with a button...Also if you use a suppressor or any other ammo apart from the long-range one, there is bullet drop on shots (more noticeable at long range) even if zeroed correctly, people just always use the long-range ammo as its most accurate.
I often leave my range at 100m when running around and easily hit people 100-300m you just need to know your scope markings and use the binoculars if you aint good at knowing the distances yet, I really dont see much of an issue here other than ppl hate being plopped in the head lol😅
