Sniping in BF6 is Ruined.

First thing is first. This is not a discussion like others I've seen, those of which favour bf1 and bf5 sniping, that was also garbage sniping. 

REAL Battlefield sniping is that of battlefield bad company 2, battlefield 3 and battlefield 4. 

500m shots, 1000m shots, 20x scopes, GOOD SNIPERS, bullet drop, watching your tracer round find its destination, and satisfying kills. Right now in this beta theres a 6x scope, a terrible sniper, no bullet drop (thats noticed or even close to the physics of bf3 or 4) 

 

this is a post for the real OG bf players, not the people who played 1 and 5, those were disappointing games too for the real fans. 

 

Fix it for the love of god. The sniping is boring, its like COD. Crazy how many people have said that about this one eh? Stop trying to copy cod. Cod is for losers, this game was for those with a bit more intelligence and skill, where is that now? The fact that you can quick-scope says it all, shouldnt be possible. 

terrible terrible non gravity affected bullet physics and unsatisfactory kills, and the glare, cmon man, its TOO MUCH. 

be ashamed of yourselves for calling yourselves developers when you cant even make your own game the way its meant to be.

  • As a bc2 vet i'm dissapointed with the sweetspot, its a garbage mechanic, sniper should one shot in the UPPER chest up to 20 meters so this way agressive recon will be back

    Snipers in this game may finally be useful because anyone that sniped in bf3 or 4 (I cant speak for 1 or 5 because the stench) provided nothing to the team. Maybe this time statistically accurate players will actually get a few more kills and actually conquer an objective or two. When I snipe I do it for myself and I'm on the bottom of the leaderboard with 20 / 4 but when I play literally any other class I'm top 8 atleast every time. Most snipers I see are in my opinion are not that great, which is fine, but that's the point maybe a decent support or assault or engineer will now also be a decent sniper because

    when you say skill or intelligence I think what you mean is / statistically rare (20% at best) moments when you (false validation) accidentally guess where the enemy was going to move, at 300 meters, and one your 3 shots finally get that slimly kill / this higher velocity and less bullet drop will give snipers a better chance of actually killing an enemy in the OPEN, with no cover, running straight at you, slightly moving left to right (kind of), alone, while death scrolling tick tok, smacking a cart, eating a taco etc. 

    I hope people actually think about what I mean when I say this because when I want to actually be useful to my team, I play any other class or unselect a sniper. Whenever I see an enemy sniper I don't care because I know they're usually a non threat and usually I'm right. What can they really do, they can't move up, they cant run away usually because I can shoot them down and they can't really hit me because I'm moving wasd on cycle.

    Movement speed has been slowed down because in real life you cant turn on a dime at 20 mph (+1), velocity has been increased for snipers (+1) and bullet drop has been decreased (+1). Congrats sniper fans sniping might be now somewhat a threat (maybe even balanced)

    Now I do agree with the map size, scopes, more sniper selection, size of the tracer and glint but not bullet drop or velocity. And I really wanted that to make that clear because I'm to old now to not return this game if you somehow gas light them into changing the bullet drop or velocity.
