Still no crossplay off for PC

Why do console players have crossplay options, but not PC players? Is this not a form of discrimination? Could this be grounds for a discrimination claim? It seems to me that this is a deliberate attempt to put PC players at a disadvantage.

Why can't we decide who we want to play with? If you want to play against consoles with an advantage, fine, leave crossplay on. But if someone doesn't want to play like that and just wants to compete against people at the same level, why can't they?

How long will we have to wait for this simple option?

The developers don't assume that, they know that console players have soft aimbot.  The game is designed around console players not having to aim at all.  If you adjust it right and use "allowed" aftermarket controllers you're barely playing.  Add the 30% or more cheating, and you might as well just give everyone aimbot at this point.  They added 3d spotting because they know so many people are cheating as well.

There are far, far more people cheating on console at this point.  You can get software hacks just like PC, but it's so easy to use hardware cheats like Cronus and EA does not even attempt to ban hardware cheaters.  Upwards of 30% of console users are cheating.  They're so bad they can't get get by with normal soft aimbot, they need to dial it up even higher.

Hacking is the reason they give consoles the option of not cross playing with PC players.

They assume right, but it's 2026 and it's clear that misinformation on social media is out of control and gaming forums are just as effected by untrue claims as anything else these days.

  • Why Developers Leave Crossplay Forced on PC

Matchmaking Speed: Combining all platforms ensures quick queue times, especially during non-peak hours or in less popular game modes.

Player Retention: Larger player counts prevent lobbies from dying out quickly, which helps maintain ongoing revenue from microtransactions and DLCs.

Default Assumptions: Developers often assume PC players have the native advantage of a mouse and keyboard, meaning they do not "need" protection from console controller lobbies in the same way console players might.

    Money is the reason.
