in my opinion the stinger missiles are broken because they are too weak, they should be stronger and hit jets and helicopters more often. If you are a good pilot (like Silk - type his videos on youtube) you should always have your flare ready when you are approaching to attack. Pilots need to be fast and right after attacking they should either go very low (to avoid locking) or to hide behind mountain. If you had infinite flares then of course you would be happy to fly 45 minutes killing the others but that is not the root problem. The real problem I see is "fighting" for access to the jet (vehicles). Jets, tanks, helicopters are extremely rare in the game. It is extremely hard to get those vehicles. Plenty of players are just pressing "space" button dreaming to be the first one to get access to it. Imagine how much time they loose in the game just waiting in the lobby. Imagine now that vehicles can spawn faster and that each map has at least 4 jets and 8 tanks - then stinger does not hurt so much. What is more there should be ie. a queue or something for people waiting for access to vehicle - otherwise "space-pressing" war starts and people are waiting forever in the lobby instead of just attaching to the game.
What I could suggest to developer:
- more vehicles, shorter spawn time (imagine you have more option to choose and less waiting time)
- queue to access vehicle (imagine you dont need to press space bar, but you are queued instead. By queued I dont mean waiting in the lobby wasting time, just "background queue" and you still can attach to the game!)
- dedicated maps for vehicles (so everybody can use them! not only the "ones" who pressed space button the fastest)
of course somebody may doesnt like having 8 tanks in the team but then EA should host different servers with different number of vehicles allowed - there would be fun! example:
Conquest most without vehicles,
Conquest mode with 4 tanks 2 jets as it is now on Firestorm map,
Conquest mode with 8 tanks 4 jets
etc.
