Maybe I'm crazy, but hasn't c4 always been a recon item? At least since bf4?
xVulture Not really. C4 hasn’t always been a Recon-only gadget.
In BF3 and BF4, it wasn’t exclusive to Recon — Support had access to it as well. That’s actually why you used to see so much C4 gameplay, since Support could both carry explosives and resupply ammo.
In Bad Company 2, C4 was mainly tied to Assault (who also had ammo resupply), and Recon could use it too.
And if I remember correctly, in older titles like BF2 and BF2142, Support also had access to C4 or similar explosives.
So it’s actually a pretty recent change making it mostly Recon-focused — it wasn’t always like that.
