Suggestion: Bring Back Wall Sliding / Surface Gliding From Battlefield 1
Hi everyone,
I’d like to suggest bringing back a movement mechanic from Battlefield 1 that made navigation feel much smoother and more natural — especially in tight environments.
In BF1, when your character's back touched a wall or obstacle, you didn’t get completely stuck. Instead, your soldier would "glide" or slide slightly along the surface, allowing for lateral movement without losing momentum. It felt fluid and human — like you were brushing past the environment rather than glitching into it.
In recent titles, especially in close-quarters areas, movement often feels too rigid. You can get caught on minor textures or geometry, which breaks immersion and fluidity — especially during firefights or quick escapes.
Bringing back this intelligent surface interaction would greatly improve movement dynamics and make the game feel more responsive and grounded.
Would love to hear what others think!
