Takedowns, how they work vs how they should.

I cant help but feel takedowns need improving, not the actual takedowns but the angles you can activate them from.

As you can see in the diagram currently the hitbox feels tiny and the result is the moment an enemy moves even slightly the takedown will fail.

At the moment it is less risky to just spray them with bullets.

high risk should have high reward, as in the diagram I feel the area around a soldier where takedowns can occur needs increasing to factor in random soldier movement and to help make the risk pay off (because why not just shoot them).

Please consider this, like I said there is 0 risk in just shooting someone who you got behind, melee provides high risk as the takedown can easily fail under current conditions.

    During the multiplayer reveal trailer it shows a soldier having their tags taken:

    The angle this happens feels impossible in game.

    As you can see it is seamless and fluid.

    Players that often move erratically should not be given an interaction prompt similar to opening a door.

    What would happen if you made players have to run up to a tank and hold f for each piece of c5 you was attaching? or if you couldnt throw it at all and had to run out and hold f in the open to place a piece?

  • shooting someone can reveal your location. I did a few takedowns with the knife. It showed me taking the dog tags off them. Sometimes i just had to hack and slash if the prompt did not appear. I'm pretty sure i startled the sniper hiding as a i creeped up behind him before i did a take down. Glad the counters are gone as that got absurd in previous titles.

    The take downs did take a bit of lining up but i was not always lined up with their backs perfectly.

    I did notice that sprinting didn't do any justice while trying to do a take down but that may have just been my experience if not designed that way.

    side note: Got few defib kills, blow torch kills :D chasing the guy with the blowtorch was hilarious.

    Suppressor doesn't show you on the mini map so you can be quiet and shoot them unless a sniper on the other side of the map spotted you through 5  windows.
