Honestly, the armor balance in this game is a headache. Why are MBT and IFV the best anti-air who can shoot across the map with impunity the best at anti-air? Because of this genius idea of the brilliant AGM on the armor.
Armor is supposed to counter armor, air is supposed to counter air, and infantry is supposed to counter infantry. Instead, air just plain dies, haha AGM go boom.
Jets... I don't even believe they exist, they're like birds in real life. They're a superstition created by EA to make us think that the game has more to offer. If a jet ever does exist, then it doesn't exist for long enough to register that it exists. Bad design.
Helos are either completely broken or completely broken in the other direction. You can't get in a helo as a noob and live longer than about how long it takes an AGM to travel to you. BUT, if you are a groundhog helo player who only abuses the under 300M zone, you kill all because those stupid spam rockets kill anything and everything in a 10 mile radius.
MBT doesn't feel like a TANK. It feels like an artillery piece, and if it dares to move 10 feet outside of safety about 17,000,000 rockets hit it from every direction and it just blows up. It's only practical use is either firing AGM across the map, or packing AP and rocking other armor then dying to about 17,000,000 rockets.
IFV actually feels a little balanced. Dunno why the ADS is still broken, IT'S BROKEN EA, HELLO, but other than that it feels fine except it also shares the same problem as MBT in that if you dare to exist somewhere that isn't 99% safe, you die from 17,000,000 rockets. I will say, it's bucking froken when driven by a console because they somehow get bonus explosive damage and can shoot you through all cover AND since they get projectile guidance those rounds will ALWAYS brain you across any distance in one shot.
Jeep... blech. it's acceptable as a drive to location and bail out device. The turret is actually a monster AA device but you can't usually trust it because you have negative cover as gunner and shooting it WILL aggro all nearby tango and they will kill you in .02 seconds. God forbid you're a passenger because expect to die if you don't bail in a safe area before you ever reach the action.
ATV sucks. It's OK to travel from safety to safety, but nothing else. What happened to the super fast and agile ATV from yesteryear? Why does it have no boost? Why does it get stuck on every twig, completely stopping all forward movement and making you a sitting duck? Only the oracle knows such things.
The dirt bike is ok, but it also has the same issue that it gets stopped by any and all twigs on the ground. It should RAMP off things. Ok, I ran into a wall, understandable that stops me. But an incline that looks like a perfect ramp to yee yee and go flying through the air like it used to do in BF4? Nawp, you stop instantly and then get shot and die.
The bearcats are FUN, but boy do they suck. Mostly because if you have any fun, you die to 17,000,000 rockets. You'll also die to C4 because it's designed to get on point and help cap and defend, but it was built to die, because it likes the way you die boy.
Scout choppi. Really cool, really fun, only good if you're good and puke poor if you aren't. Should be more susceptible to small arms, should be harder to lock with rockets. 17,000,000 rockets even. Also has those stupid rocket pods which need omega nerfed.
Angy choppa. I remember this thing being a MENACE in BF4. In BF6, oh look a chopper oh it's dead. Thing is hyper vulnerable. That thing is so vulnerable that it should be on a protected species list. 17,000,000 rockets.
Transport chooparino. Used to be cool, now it's just a tool to get into broken places on maps because the map design wasn't thought out at all. It's basically great on breakthrough where only attackers get a helo (why? WHY?) because it allows players to get into broken places where you CAN'T GET IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CHAPOPADERO OF YOUR OWN EA. Also the miniguns are only good if you are a console who gets projectile guidance because the bullets don't retain the speed of the helo. Can't aim this thing for poo. Also needs more seats because it just gets full of people who won't leave then it's useless as a spawn location.
Anti-air armor. HA. What a joke. This thing is great if you are getting spawn camped. Well, it's OK if you are getting spawn camped. Well... maybe it just exists. Stupid little spinny stupid thing is always in the way too.
So, we can see that the core of the problem is that every engineer is packing enough boom to kill every armor and air vehicle on the map.
BF3 and BF4 had very good class balance, very good armor balance, and very good air balance. BF6 had the playbook, and said "nah son, we ball" and messed practically every part of the system up that it could possibly mess up.
Only good thing about BF6 is that it looks like BF3 and 4.
