The Scorpion smg (Season 2)
So with the rumors the all time goat CZ Scorpion EVO 3 is coming to BF6 in season 2 there are a few things that it needs to do to differentiate itself from the other high rpm smg that we already have or to not just be a copy of the Vector.
For one it cannot be the lazy gun balancing go-to of 25 dmg and high rpm so we just give it a 10 rnd magazine **bleep** like the vector was treated to. If the scorpion deals the 25 dmg as I suspect it will then it can finally be the first 1000-ish rpm gun we get that has a full 30rnd mag and maybe even an option for the iconic 40rnd mag. So if it will deal 25 dmg and have a 1000-ish rpm how to balance it? well just give it a ton of recoil and maybe a fairly slow bullet velocity, it would need lots of skill and patience to get familiar enough with it to be effective high skill ceiling but high reward.
another thing i would love to see for building out the weapon besides the 40 round mag I mentioned is the carbine barrel length, I imagine this would almost turn the scorpion into halfway between a carbine and smg, the carbine barrel length option would increase that lower bullet velocity and possibly increase precision a bit at the cost of ads speed similar to the heavy extended barrels. I also think a cool idea aesthetically would be for one or more of the suppressor options to change the hand-guard to be one of the integrally suppressed models for no other reason cuz it looks cool. And if it is the case that this gun would have a standard size mag and standard 25 dmg and very high rpm there could be other unique balancing options to do with dmg falloff, hip-fire spread both base spread and the rate it increases because of the rpm. I am a fan of the Scorpion and I just really don't wanna see it get the lazy no effort treatment the vector did. I also would be severely disappointed if it got the treatment it got in 2042 where they nearly halved the rpm of the gun, if BF6 is gonna add the scorpion PLEASE let it keep its incredible ~1,150 rpm and balance it in other ways.
