Too many challenges

There are so many challenges active for players at the moment. I have also seen a decline in team performance in objective based modes. I belive these are related. I have brought this up before, and its only got worse. This is ruining the gameplay experience.

Instead of playing the game, people go for challenges. Why even play the game the way its meant to be played anymore. Thats what this is becoming.

I do see challenges targeting objectives and such, but also one that seem pointless. Drive 5000 meters in any vehicle, really. This has hurt the overall game

  • I fully agree, my challenges screen is cluttered, there's so much going on that at end of round I don't even get to see what I've accomplished or not as the list is so long that before you get a chance to see all the next match is loading.

And don't get me started on the Red Bull challenges. I'm not a free advertisement board for an energy drink! I don't drink the stuff, and will not equip any of the rewards from these challenges, unless RB pays me like they do with Max Verstappen 😜

  • Yup, I tend to agree. I'm completely fine with generic challenges such as "Get 30 kills in ground vehicles", because those can be completed by just playing the game. Unfortunately, there's also a ton of challenges like "Get 10 kills at 100 meters with a DMR" and those just steer you too much into playing a certain way that doesn't involve capturing objectives or helping your teammates.

The whole Battlepass feels a little overwhelming though. I think the number of challenges in the Battlepass itself fine, but with the California Resistance and Red Bull challenges stacked on top of it, it's just too much. Especially because those are time-limited events.

Beta version was the best because there isn't trash challenges.

REDSEC challenges are especially the worst.
Paid $100 and playing F2P game, It's utterly ridiculous.

BF3 don't have challenges but many players continued playing for years.
    Great game doesn't need challenges.

  • I ignore the Challenges.

Have done more than enough. I can't see the Point of so many challenges.

And yes, 20 Revive in a Game with a Defi Bug in Cairo....

  • I agree, the whole challenge focus on BF6 right now is impacting the enjoyment of the game for me and a lot of my mates.
As apposed to playing and having fun, it's becoming a list of chores to sort through.
I can't imagine the amount of games thrown because people were hyper focusing on their challenges, and one really can't blame them for that with how specific these challenges get.
In previous titles you would unlock what you played with passively which was way more fun, play Assault? heres their gadgets, guns and tools.
This is a much better way of doing it instead of requiring hyper precise actions from your players, like "get kills at 125 meters."
This sort of thing forces playing in a way that isn't fun or challenging but more so a hastle and frustration, especially when it fences off getting a useful gadget for given roles.

Aswell as that, Challenges that force BF6 players into the REDSEC audience is not fun either. I get you're trying to keep the player base unified but using challenges as a drive doesn't work and isn't conducive to having fun with the game. The free trial week is much more effective of a measure and is welcome in the future, because you are giving those F2P players a chance to level their gear for when they return to BR or Gauntlet.

  • 100% this.  It feels too much like Delta Force or something with all the stuff to track.  Simplify, please.

And don't force Battle Royale challenges down our throats and expect us to re-roll for stuff we're not interested in.

Agreed 100%. I only played the recent free 7 day trial but it was crazy the number of challenges. I did it for a while and then realized they were ruining my enjoyment of 'just playing the game for fun'. So I stopped. The thing with challenges is, if the majority want to do it, they will and that will likely ruin the experience for everyone else - need a medic on your team, but there's an assault challenge - congratulations, you're in a team with 3 assaults and only you go medic. Good luck trying to find ammo...

I'm fine with team-based challenges, in BFV there were things like "complete 5 squad orders" or "as a squad, spot 100 enemies" - stuff that actually made you work together. I can't be bothered to check what million challenges you want me to complete. I'll just join a game and have some fun.
