Underwhelming is an Understatement
Ok, I was holding my breath hoping that there was more to Season two than a single, uninspiring map with a gimmick. Now that we have a reveal for Season 2 I can say this is very underwhelming. Now, maybe the level of fixes to core gameplay make up for the severe lack of content, but from purely a content perspective, this is terrible. Season two was delayed a month and will include a single new map with a chance of a shadow drop of a BF4 classic some where between now and April?
I was really hoping the BF6 team was taking the feedback seriously. The lack of large maps, more diverse vehicles and customization, and the issue with too many of the maps forcing high octane play over strategic, methodological play like previous games (BF3-BFV) are all things many wanted. This is what we get instead? I was really hoping the dev team (maybe too harsh, probably marketing's fault) would have delivered something to pull me back in. I'd rather waste my time playing Starfield than jumping back into BF6 Season 2 which is a gimmick. We want content. I like the little bird, I like the new weapons (too few for a second season spanning four months), but the motorcycle and MLTV? We already had a four wheeler and light vehicle. How about another tank or fighter aircraft? Or maybe faction specific transport for Armata? Or faction specific SHORAD for NATO? Where are the big maps?
I know some of you won't agree with me. Just understand you're selling yourself (the customer) short by accepting less for more. At some point we have to say enough is enough and demand a better product. This isnt it. This isn't good enough. Better, perhaps? What we the customer should expect from a Season 2, given how poorly Season 1 went, is not simply better, but exceptional. No honest person can look at this Season 2 reveal and say to themselves "I'm so excited to get home and play BF6 season 2"! What we got was underwhelming and that is an understatement.
