Unjust ban, reason not specified

Dear Electronic Arts Support and Terms of Service Team,

I am requesting an urgent manual review of the ban applied to my global EA account, which resulted from a clear false positive triggered by the EA Anti-Cheat (Javelin) system during a recent Battlefield match.

The ban was issued automatically the moment I connected an original, physical Xbox 360 controller via USB—while the match was already in progress—to switch from keyboard/mouse to controller input. I would like to highlight the following technical and factual points demonstrating that no violation occurred:

1. Absence of Third-Party Software: The Xbox 360 controller has native, proprietary support within the Microsoft Windows ecosystem. I do not use—nor was I running—any emulator software, button mappers, or macro injectors (such as x360ce, reWASD, JoyToKey, or DS4Windows) in the background. The system banned the account solely because it registered an abrupt change in input hardware in real-time.

2. Legitimate Hardware Upgrade: I recently upgraded my hardware components, replacing an RTX 3060 Ti graphics card with an RTX 5070. The substantial FPS gain and reduced latency are legitimate hardware improvements; these factors, combined with the mid-match peripheral switch, caused the security algorithm to generate an anomalous and erroneous reading.

3. Statistical Inconsistency (0.8 K/D): My gameplay statistics are strictly casual and recreational. My historical K/D ratio stands at 0.8—a performance level mathematically incompatible with the use of any "competitive advantage mechanism" (such as aimbots or wallhacks).

4. 20-Year History of Good Standing: My account has existed for two decades, includes dozens of purchased games, and boasts an impeccable financial history. My PlayStation Network (PSN) account has been linked to EA since *Battlefield 3* without a single recorded instance of misconduct. The current ban has unjustly blocked my access, including on the PS5.

Citing the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code and the principle of transparency, I demand that this ticket be escalated to the human Terms of Service (ToS) technical team for an audit of the telemetry logs from the match in question. I have retained all purchase receipts, screenshots of my digital library, and photographs of physical media that attest to my good standing as an exemplary customer over the past 20 years.

I await the reactivation of my account and the restoration of my access.

    I am writing this post as an absolute last resort. I have been a loyal EA customer for over 20 years, with an extensive library of purchased games and physical media across PC and PlayStation, always maintaining flawless conduct.

    On June 24th, I was falsely banned by EA Anti-Cheat while playing Battlefield on PC. The automated system triggered a false positive because of two simultaneous, completely legitimate physical events:

    I had just upgraded my GPU from an RTX 3060Ti to a brand new RTX 5070 on Monday (June 22nd), which naturally altered my hardware ID (HWID) and telemetry data.

    During my first match on Wednesday (June 24th), I plugged in an original Microsoft Xbox 360 controller via USB, which uses 100% native Windows drivers (no third-party emulators, mappers, or software like reWASD/JoyToKey).

    The anti-cheat robot clearly misinterpreted this hardware change as an illicit advantage. My historical K/D is 0.8, which mathematically proves I am a casual player who does not cheat. Furthermore, this global ban has unjustly locked me out of my purchased games on my linked PS5 account as well.

    The support issue:

    My first appeal received an immediate, generic, automated robotic response. I opened a second appeal immediately after, but my case has been completely ignored and ghosted since June 27th—nearly a full month with zero updates. To make matters worse, the platform has now removed the text field option, leaving me with zero possibility of defense and no justification provided.

    I am not asking for automated replies. I am begging for a human review of my match telemetry and hardware logs. I have invoices for the new GPU, photos of the physical controller, and my full console/PC game collection to prove my identity as a legitimate consumer.

    Could a Community Manager please help me escalate this ticket to a human specialist?

  • I am 46 years old and have never done anything illegal in my life; it is frustrating to have no idea what "illegal act" I supposedly committed. The ban came with absolutely no explanation and was completely disproportionate—permanently losing access to the game itself, as well as the online and campaign modes on both PC and PS5. I never imagined that using an official Xbox 360 controller would trigger the "Javelin" system to flag me as a cheater on PC; obviously, a wired controller affects input lag—can't the system understand that?

    If you look at my play history, you'll see I rarely play; my activity is nowhere near competitive—I’ve only logged 16 hours since buying the game. Yet, I actually bought the game twice: once on Steam for PC and once on PSN to play co-op on the PS5 with my son—and now I can't even do that anymore.

  • EA doesn't ban cheaters, so it was probably something that triggered their dystopian AI (which is probably unlawful in most countries).
