Vehicle 3rd person view

If I'm missing something, please let me know. 

I don't care much for the 3rd person view that seems to be automatic unless you 'zoom.' I can't find a setting that changes this. 

I'm a big helicopter guy (professional helicopter pilot in real life), and I want to always be in the cockpit while playing Battlefield games.  I like the option to change to 3rd person if I feel the need, but I don't care for it being a standard unless you're holding the zoom button. I've switched it in the settings from 'hold' to 'toggle,' but that changes it for all vehicles where as for now I want it as 'hold' for tanks.

In short, I'd like it how it used to be, as 3rd person is an option to change to with a click of a button.
