Very Sad To See

Last night I decided to look up BF6 to what other people are saying and posting across different forums and social media sites like Reddit , Facebook, Instagram including this EA forum and a few clans that have forums and it’s not good ! Everyone of these places have nothing but negative comments about BF6 with probably 90 percent of the negative comments being about netcode ,Hit Detection, Hit registry which comes down to you just can’t kill the enemy without dumping 30 rounds in them and most asking why isn’t this fixed ? So really why isn’t it fixed ????
Try something !!! Like increase the hit reg so it’s overdone and work backwards from that to get to maybe a happy place !

I have one thought that could be why , these maps are big and colorful and absorbing tons and tons of memory and CPU and GPU and even the highest end PC can suffer because as the game goes on it’s just logging more and more causing bad hit reg !

I would like to add that I play on PC and Console and both are terrible and that I’m just an average player 5 kills 5 deaths type of player but with the new map just released I’m a 10 to 20 deaths and maybe 5 kills cap I believe it’s not me it’s the game making me perform worse then usual !!!

my console is a PS5-Pro which is a pretty stout machine ! Using a Keyboard and Mouse

my PC is an older Rig running water cooled 2080 Ti 16gigs dddr6 memory water cooled CPU is a Intel 4960 extreme with 32 gigs of vengance memory which I can run BF6 with Graphics at about 80 percent and still have on average 90 fps .

i actually prefer the PS5 Pro over the PC believe it or not i think the graphics look much better ! Point all this is it’s just apple for apples and both suffer from the same problem !

my internet is 1000 download 900 upload and I usually ping the BF server with a 9 ping !!

Spot on. I’m asking myself the exact same questions.

To add to this: why are players with low latency and high-end hardware being penalized the most? Personally, I don't think lag compensation should even exist in a game like this. If you choose to play a fast-paced shooter with high ping, you should simply be at a disadvantage. Period. Instead, the game actively penalizes players who actually have a fast, stable connection.

There’s even a rumor going around that desync gets significantly worse on high-end PCs when running high framerates (150+ FPS). The theory is that because the servers only operate at a 60Hz tick rate, the massive gap between your client FPS and the server tick rate creates additional synchronization issues. Whether that rumor is 100% accurate or not, the fact that people are even theorizing about it shows how broken the technical foundation currently feels.

And just like you said, the biggest question remains: Why is this being completely ignored? Why won’t EA or DICE address hit registration, netcode, or lag compensation directly? Why are they dodging these core issues while continuing to push new content?

It's extremely frustrating when having a top-tier setup and low ping actually feels like a disadvantage.

We are? Playing in 4K, 144fps, ping usually below 20, I haven't felt this, always topping the boards.

I usually experience a latency when I see 150ms+ ping times. Saw one yesterday that was 950ms, I was like OMG and left the server.

  • So long as they force console to be with PC and selling in CN, the netcode will always be bad and there will always be VPN using ping abusers.

The crossplay makes no sense.  No one can justify it, but it's forced anyways.

The CN issue is easy to understand.  The largest whales are in CN.  Money speaks.

I also browse a lot of battlefield 6 feedback on X, YouTube, Reddit, Steam and here and since Season 2 the vast majority of serious feedback is positive and Naval Warfare along with a large old school map has garnered even more positive feedback.

I agree there's still the usual trolls who can barely write who will post very toxic childish insults but they will always be with us unfortunately, but on the whole the trend is showing a lot more positivety for the direction Battlefield 6 is moving in.
