If EA were to provide a real option to disable this, players would realize how few people actually play this game—and they don't want that, creating the illusion that servers are filled with players matched from all over the world with ping so high it's mind-boggling.
Just ask yourself why this wasn't a problem in previous games in the series, but it is now.

Ive just played 5 games of conquest in the oceanic region which covers australia, asia, new zealand and the islands in and around.
First 2 games were half filled with bots each side, the next 2 games full of players, last game prob 10 bots each side.
sadly I think cross play is here to stay, agree with what your saying 100%, from what i see more PC than console playing but would love a number confirmation for this reason.
IF PC and Console players could only play against each other i think filling games would be a struggle or you would play against the same people game after game.
