Why make maps so small?
I’d like to ask a respectful question to the Battlefield 6 developers.
Do you actually play the game?
If so, could someone please explain the logic behind releasing a new map called Blackwell Fields that includes air vehicles, but is so small that you can reach the enemy base in less than a second with a jet?
Especially considering all the bugs we’re experiencing.
Please stop making small maps. The essence of Battlefield has always been large-scale warfare, not this current “micro-warfare.”
I know you’re working on naval maps, so please bring something truly big.
I’ve played the new REDSEC mode and it’s excellent. The map is large, dense, and full of detail. This clearly shows that the complaints about Battlefield 2042 weren’t because the maps were too big, but because they were too empty and the flags were placed too far apart, which made it frustrating for infantry-only players.
Recently, I joined a test mode of the REDSEC map through Portal and I couldn’t help but imagine a Conquest version of it with well-placed flags, good flow, and longer ticket times. I’m sure players would love that. When I mentioned to my friends “imagine a Conquest here,” everyone said “man, that would be amazing, this map looks incredible.”
Please bring larger maps to Battlefield 6’s Conquest mode.
They don’t need to be as huge as REDSEC, but they should have good density and be much bigger than what we’ve seen so far.
Would that be possible?
