Why remove the official rule setting full xp backfill portal setting?

I liked to play both. This is my first battlefield game so I am not the best at it yet. I would play some games and get absolute obliterated. Some games I do really good but I can have a full day of sweats where I literally don't stand a chance and dropping onto those games made sure I kept having fun because it is a lot less sweaty 90% of the time. All they have done is cater to the streamers and such. I feel let down massively and am unsure if I will play again. Arc raiders and cod will be out soon so I probably won't be back unless they backpedal on this very quickly.

Because it led to exploits, simple, case closed. 

Bcuz 1 or 3% exploited it with 1vs 64 does not mean to **bleep** everyone?? I mean close those or make it so they cant be created! Its fine i understand! But not do all official setting open backfill lobbies that where just playing the game less sweaty! Also it whas promised so they should revert the legit once back i think!

They really should have just nerfed bot exp but still kept weapon and challenge progression and likely nobody would be upset about it.

I agree. Or make it so everything is 50% of what you get from normal marches plus achievement accolades and gun levels etc open maybe gun also at 50% so portal is still rellevant for people that just want to enjoy there game or old guys like me that cant compete with all the 1000rpm sweatlords out there

I agree with the idea that bots shouldn't count towards the KD, that was ridiculous from the beginning (in my opinion).
I wouldn't mind if bots gave less xp either.

I don't care about statistics. But I understand if other people do. 
So I wouldn't mind at all, if bot-kills wouldn't be taken into any statistic at all (in fact it would make sense to me that only playerkills would count towards stats like KD, weapon statistics and stuff like that). 
Weapon- and player statistics should be glanced of botkills - I'd consider this fair.

But regarding weapon xp and challenges, this game is so fast paced in public lobbys, that its simply "no fun for me" ... or at least not much. 
If you don't want to get killed every 2sec, by some "ADHS Kid" running around like a headless chicken,  you have to play a very specif  and effective way, which is pretty "stressful" to me and frankly ... pretty lame.
You have to use specific weapons and the according attachments. Otherwise you are just a victim in in a public lobby.

I like to "do my s%it in peace, play the guns I like (not necessarily the fastkilling-op-stuff). 
And thats simply not smart in a normal lobby, not to speak of getting my challenges done this way. 
Not only will you get gangrÆped at every second corner you peak around, you also will be a weak-point for your team... both nothing I like to experience continuously - pretty much sucks all the fun out of the game.

Two examples just from the top of my head:
There is a higher probability to get hit by lighting and win the lottery simultaneously, than to get 5 (?i think) captures in one "standard public match". 
Or try to get a 200m headshot ...  rofl.... find out how much fun this is bringing into your life in a public lobby.

Like I said, I like to do my stuff in peace, sometimes in a team with my friends, hanging out in discord talking s%it while doing my daily and weekly stuff vs bots. Sometimes alone.
If I can't do that, because some cod-child thinks his e-pen demises, if somebody who doesn't like running around like a headless chicken all the time also gets his weapons and career leveled, this simply is not my game and I need to move on.

was it so hard to just zap progression in those custom servers witg scripts and just make it so the bots in official rules give so little xp that they are not worth compared to fighting players?

Easy Fix:

Verified experiences = Full XP and Progression

Modified experiences = No XP and Progression

Modified experiences can be submitted and be vetted to earn a Verified rating

Honestly, same. This is exactly what happened with 2042's Portal and I spent months providing feedback on better changes. But once again, we're back to where we started.
