Why was the sledgehammer nerfed vs walls?

This was part of the reveal of BF6 one of the things meant to make this game stand out from the previous ones, a slow weapon that can help crack weak walls etc.

Why did you walked this back? Did the soulless WALLS complain that the sledgehammer was damaging their gaming experience?

There were not even official patch notes about it as far as I know. What is the big deal?

I dunno. Ive rarely used it to smash a wall, but I do remember from the clips at launch that I thought it was a bit OTT with just a few hits and literally seconds and it could bring a floor down. Smashing a weak wall down is one thing, flattening a building is another
