Already saw your separate post about "EA missing out on tons of upgrade cash."
Pardon me, but my Internal "Highly Dubious" Alarm has gone off due to TWO mentions of this. Why, pray tell, you be concerned whether or not EA is missing out on this incredibly sweet deal you speak of?

Hi @EADiscussions, @OABattlefield, and EA Support Team,
I’m reaching out because I’m hitting a wall trying to get clear answers about upgrading my Battlefield 6 Standard Edition preordered on Steam, to the Phantom Edition for the additional content (Battlefield Pro Token, Phantom Pack skins, extra XP boosts, etc.). My previous EA Help ticket was deleted without a response, and I’m concerned about missing out on these items with the launch just two days away (October 10, 2025).
Here’s my situation:
- I own the Standard Edition on Steam, preloaded and ready, which includes the Tombstone Pack for preordering.
- I want to upgrade to Phantom Edition to get the exclusive Phantom Pack (Crossbones, Mirage, Specter, Wraith soldier skins, Glimmer Melee Knife, etc.) and the Battlefield Pro Token (Season 1 Battle Pass + 25 Tier Skips).
- There’s no upgrade option visible on Steam’s store or Library page pre-launch, and EA’s FAQ (ea.com/games/battlefield/battlefield-6/faq) doesn’t mention a post-launch DLC for Steam upgrades.
- Community threads (e.g., Steam Discussions) speculate a ~$30–$40 upgrade pack might drop on launch, but there’s no official word from EA or Steam.
- I’ve seen EA Play Pro ($16.99/month via EA App) offers Phantom access, but I’d prefer a one-time Steam upgrade to avoid dual-launching through the EA App.
My questions for EA/DICE:
- Will there be an official upgrade pack/DLC on Steam post-launch (October 10, 2025) to go from Standard to Phantom Edition? If so, what’s the price, and will it include all Phantom content (Pro Token, Phantom Pack, full XP boosts)?
- If no upgrade exists, is EA Play Pro my only option to access Phantom content? Can you confirm that all unlocked items (Pro Token rewards, Phantom Pack, Deployment Pack) will stay permanently on my Steam Standard Edition after canceling Pro, as stated in this EA Forum thread?
- Why was my EA Help ticket deleted without a reply? How can I ensure a response this time?
- I can not refund as I was gifted the standard edition please help thank you.

Hi there,
No official confirmation but to note. The previous Battlefield Games allowed you to upgrade at a reduced price via upgrade. But be careful as it still allowed you to buy the full version of the game again for the deluxe edition etc.

If you cancel your EA pro membership you will loose access to the bundles as far as I'm aware with how previous games worked with pass if owned standard

It possibly got deleted as there is another question of similar nature. More than likely. That had a response on a forum

On a sidenote, Gamecypher - you realise this is a user-based forum, so chances you get your "official" EA-feedback/confirmation are pretty low.😉

From everything I found, I’m just going to upgrade if they make a phantom upgrade available after launch. I might reach out to EA directly and ask them

I bought the Tombstone package a month ago and would like to upgrade to the Phantom package. How can I do that without paying the full price for the Phantom package ?

I would be happy to pay the difference to go from BF6 Standard to the BF6 Phantom Edition. But I will not be happy to pay full price for both. You already have the menu option to "Purchase a different edition" of the games in your app, just fix the math behind the scenes to reflect the price difference.
It's too late now since BF6 launches in 84 minutes as I type this, but you really should evaluate this and see if it is something you can prioritize for inclusion in the EA App.
