Will this game remain popular on console?

I play on PS5 with crossplay off and have started to notice a worrying trend with the introduction of bots to fill lobbies, this doesn’t happen during peak times but as soon as you stray outside of them there is often bots, this wasn’t the case during the beta and neither was it at launch but as time passes will this downward trend keep happening. This could only really happen if people who turned crossplay off are turning it back on which is unlikely or the player count is dropping very quickly, i suppose it could be server side issues but it’s not looking good for those that want to continue playing with crossplay off. EA seems to have gone very quiet in regards to the so called preferred crossplay that they said would be in the game that clearly isn’t and there reluctance to ship the game with crossplay set to off by default could very well kill off the console experience for those that want to play just against other console users. I know there is huge amount of console players that simply don’t care or are unaware about crossplay options and I’m sure most comments will be just telling me to just turn it back on but when a game this new struggles to fill lobbies with crossplay off it can’t be a good sign of what’s to come.
